Eligibility & Academic qualification criteria – 2025
a) The applicant must be a citizen of India. Must be domicile of West Bengal (Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least last ten years till 31.12.2024).
b) The applicant must have passed the class 12 examination in (10+2) system only from any recognized board/University prescribed in WBJEEB wbsite.
c) The applicant’s age must be at least 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2025. i.e., the applicant should have been born on or before 31.07.2008.
d) Maximum Age: No upper age limit.
Minimum educational qualification
a) Must pass ‘10+2’ examination from any recognized Board (2) with at least 40% marks in aggregate.
b) 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST/OBC-Category-A (More Backward / OBC-Category-B (Backward).
c) Must pass in English in (10+2) examination.
d) Vocational Stream
i. CBSE Board: Candidates passing (10+2) in Vocational Stream must be from the Health Care Science discipline.
ii. The candidates passing West Bengal Higher Secondary (Vocational) Examination, 2023 onwards, who opted for “Healthcare Science” under “Community Healthcare” Group must pass in any two of the following combination of Subjects: –
1. Community Health Counselor (COHC)
2. Patient Care Assistant (PTCA)
3. Public Health & First Aid (PHFA)
iii. The candidates who passed West Bengal Higher Secondary (Vocational) Examination prior to 2023 with “Community Healthcare” Group under “Home Science” Discipline with combination of 3 vocational papers namely:
1. Community Nutrition
2. Hospital Management
3. Public Health & First Aidshall also be eligible for making application for the ANM/GNM Entrance Examination, 2025 as per the notification no. WBSCTVESD/VED/748 Dated, 29.01.2024 of West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development.
OBC – NCL
The OBC – Category-A (More Backward) or OBC – Category-B (Backward) candidates belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) only are eligible for consideration as reserved candidates. OBC – Category-A (More Backward) or OBC – Category-B (Backward) candidates must produce updated NCL certificates issued by the competent authority on or after 01.04.2025 during counselling or admission)
Medical Fitness Certificate
All candidates must be medically fit for the course and must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate in the format given in APPENDIX-3 at the time of admission.
Documents Verification
Admit cards, Rank cards are issued based on the information provided by the candidate. All verifications are done during and after counselling/ admission by the allotted institute. Hence, candidates cannot assume that the personal information shown in the admit card are accepted/approved by the Board.
If during verification, any candidate’s claim is found invalid at that time, his/her category rank will be cancelled/ corrected/ modified accordingly which may even make him/ her ineligible for some/ all seats/ course(s) and the candidate will be considered as General Category in next round of counselling, if any. Hence, securing a Rank does not constitute a right/guarantee in favour of a candidate for his/her claim for admission if he/she fails to comply with the required criteria.

The following sub-sections describe the criteria as per latest communications received from the concerned Authorities (i.e., WBUHS and the Dept. of H&FW, Govt. of W.B.). Candidates must make themselves aware of the latest applicable rules of different Universities, Institutions, Government Departments, Regulatory Bodies at the time of admission. Board will not be responsible by any way, if any candidate fails to aware himself/herself regularly on any updated information. The Board would notify revisions, corrections, modifications, addendum, corrigendum if any received from concerned Authorities till the start of counselling.
a) The applicant must be a citizen of India.
b) The applicant must be domicile of West Bengal.

d) For B.Sc. Nursing, the applicant’s age must be at least 17(seventeen) years as on 31.12.2025.e) Maximum Age: No upper age limit.

Only Female candidates are eligible for admission in B.Sc. Nursing course in Muktadhara Nursing Institution.Minimum educational qualification The candidate must pass (10+2) examination from any recognized Board/Council.

c) Similarly, if at any stage during or after counselling it is found on scrutiny that the information/document(s) provided by the candidate is false/incorrect, his/her candidature is liable to be treated as cancelled even if he/she secured a Merit Rank and/or a seat has been allotted to the candidate. Hence, securing a Rank does not constitute a right/guarantee in favour of a candidate for his/her claim for admission if he/she fails to comply with the required criteria.

Eligibility and academic qualification criteria – 2025
Academic eligibility criteria : The candidate must pass (10+2) level examination from any recognized Board and must pass the GNM course from the Institute recognized by Indian Nursing Council and obtained registration/RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India.
Note:
* ‘Pass’ means passing in both theory and practical separately where applicable.
* Pass’ means completion of all requirements of the course including completion of internship (where applicable) before admission.
* ‘Any recognized Board’ means the Boards/Councils listed and published in WBJEEB website.a) Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
b) Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
- Upper age limit:
i. WB State Govt Employee: The Nursing Personnel must not be more than 53 years of age on the last date of application.
ii. Others: No upper age limit (including ESI and Central Govt. employees).

- Work experience: The candidates presently employed by the West Bengal State Govt. must have at least 3 years’ qualifying uninterrupted/ regularized experience in Govt. service as on the last date of application. Work experience is not essential for others (including ESI and Central Govt. employees).
Documents Verification
